Nominations Now Open for the BREW International Book, Blog, and Poetry Awards

The Chrysalis Books, Reviews, and Everything Written (BREW) Project proudly announces that nominations are now open for the BREW International Book, Blog, and Poetry Awards. These distinguished global honours recognise outstanding works that reflect depth, creativity, and meaningful expression—across published books, digital blogs, and poetic compositions.

Driven by a deep respect for the power of words, the BREW Awards were founded on the belief that writing—whether fiction, nonfiction, personal reflection, or poetry—has the potential to inspire, transform, and connect. The acronym BREW stands not only for the project’s name but also for its mission: to highlight Books, Reflections, and Expressions of Words that stir the senses and provoke thought, like a well-crafted cup of coffee or tea.

Three Major Award Categories:

1. BREW Book Awards

Honouring fiction and nonfiction titles that leave a lasting impression. Open to self-published, traditionally published, and independent works, as well as select unpublished manuscripts. Awards include:

• BREW Book Excellence Award
• BREW Fiction and Nonfiction Excellence Awards
• BREW Children’s Book Excellence Award
• BREW Readers’ Choice Award
• BREW Seal of Excellence
   
• These awards affirm an author’s craft, amplify publisher credibility, and help readers discover meaningful, high-quality titles.

2. BREW International Blog Award

Recognising digital writers whose blogs inform, connect, or challenge. From lifestyle and advocacy to expert commentary and creative storytelling, awardees demonstrate originality, authenticity, and resonance. Bloggers may opt into promotional and feedback services as part of their submission.

3. BREW Poetry Award

Honouring poets whose rhythmic and lyrical work captures emotion, truth, and the human spirit. Submissions are accepted in four divisions:

• Open (General Public)
• Tertiary (Higher Education)
• Secondary (High School)
• Primary (Early School Years)
   
• Each division will feature a Judges’ Pick and Community’s Pick, showcasing both technical artistry and popular appeal.
